Oracle, aka Sun, campus shrinks in Menlo

InMenlo got word from a reader this week about the closing of one of the buildings on what was the Sun Microsystem campus (now Oracle) at the foot of Marsh Road in Menlo Park. Emails the reader: “About a third to half of the people here are being transferred to either [the Oracle] Redwood Shores headquarters  or to the [former] Sun Santa Clara campus.” That’s probably not good news for local businesses located at Willow and Hamilton who’ve counted on Sun/Oracle employees as part of their steady clientele. Note: An InMenlo inquiry to Oracle PR to confirm the building’s closure did not receive a response.
