Back-to-school Spotted: Big Oak Knoll traffic jam

by Linda Hubbard on August 26, 2010

Evidently the folks at West Bay Sanitary District and contractor California Trenchless missed that Thursdays are early early dismissal days at Oak Knoll School. Since school resumed on Tuesday, work on the new sewer pipeline going in along Oak Avenue would cease just before school adjourned around 3:00. Today’s standard early dismissal about  90 minutes earlier, put traffic in the area at a standstill as school buses and big construction equipment – as well as the usual assortment of SUVs  – attempted to get through the intersection at Oak and Oak Knoll. An officer from the Menlo Park Police Department got on his loud speaker to break the logjam.
