Tree lighting, carol singing at St. Patrick’s Seminary on 11/29
St. Patrick’s Seminary is welcoming the public to a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Monday, Nov. 29 at 5:00 pm. Attendees will hear carols sung by the Seminarian Schola, sample holiday confections, and get a tour of the seminary’s historic buildings.
“This is the second year we’ve done this,” said spokesperson Mary Verducci. “Our hope is that it will bring our neighbors and the broader community onto campus – we’re not a cloistered space. We want this to be a warm and welcoming event.”
Rector/President Fr. James L. McKearney, S.S. will open the ceremony with some words about the meaning of Christmas.
