Register to attend workshop on energy rebate program

by Linda Hubbard Gulker on December 1, 2011

Residents are invited to a workshop hosted by the City of Menlo Park on Monday, December 5 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm to learn how homeowners can benefit from Energy Upgrade California, an incentive program that rebates up to $10,000 for energy-efficient home improvements.

With Energy Upgrade California, residents can take advantage of reduced energy use, improved indoor air quality, and lower utility bills through two rebate packages; the Basic Package and the Advanced Package. The Basic Upgrade package offers a rebate of up to $4,000 for home improvements that include air sealing, attic insulation, and hot water pipe insulation. The Advanced Upgrade package offers a rebate of up to $10,000 for improvements that can include installing energy-efficient windows, changing wall insulation, duct replacement, and/or upgrading your furnace.

Now is the time to take advantage of this program. After February, the rebate will be reduced to $4,000 for the Advanced Package. Registration is required to attend. Please call Menlo Park’s Environmental Programs at 330-6740 or email [email protected] to register and the workshop location will be disclosed at that time.
