by Linda Hubbard Gulker on December 3, 2011

Little people and their parents filled the Menlo Park Recreation Center this morning for the annual City-sponsored Breakfast with Santa. Girl Scout Troop 61716 were on hand to help out with the various craft activities, and City employee Desiree Zamora was back to play Santa’s elf as in previous years.

Festivities were just getting underway the Russian Christmas Bazaar on Crane St. which continues until 4:00 today. To start the morning out, Genia Orlova was making Blinis, with a choice of homemade red plum or apricot/yellow plum fillings. Inside the social hall, authentic Russian products like stacking dolls are being sold along with a hot lunch of borscht and dumplings. Outside Olga Vasiliev was providing the music, much to the delight a the assembled young dancers.
