Author Marty Brounstein tells story of Holocaust courage on March 3

by Roberta Roth on February 28, 2012

Author Marty Brounstein brings to life the true story of how Frans and Mein Winjnakker saved the lives of at least two dozen Jews living in southern Holland during the Holocaust and World War II. Two Among the Righteous Few: A Story of Courage in the Holocaust is the inspirational tale of this courageous Catholic couple who took serious risks to help others in dire need, instilling hope during one of the most horrific points of history. Join the author for a book talk on Saturday, March 3rd in the Menlo Park City Council Chambers, 701 Laurel Street at 11:00 am.

Brounstein has a personal connection to this story because he is married to one of those saved by the Winjnakkers. He is an author, speaker and management consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area.  His previous books include Communicating Effectively for Dummies, Coaching and Mentoring for Dummies, Managing Teams for Dummies, and Handling the Difficult Employee: Solving Performance Problems.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing after the talk. No reservations are required for this free program supported by the Friends of the Menlo Park Library. Refreshments will be provided.

Free van service to the program is available for local seniors and people with disabilities. For more information or to schedule transportation, call 330-2512 or contact Roberta Roth, Outreach Librarian,
