Update re: InMenlo’s Daily Email

by Scott Loftesness on April 15, 2012

As many readers know, InMenlo began two years ago as labor of love by three Menlo Park residents. The goal – although unstated! – was to post an article daily that highlighted some aspect of the people, places, and organizations of our local community.

Thanks to the contributions of a great team of photographers and writers, we’ve seen InMenlo expand. We’re now publishing an average of three new articles daily with coverage extending beyond Menlo Park to Atherton with occasional forays to Woodside and Portola Valley. Our original focus of shining a light on the accomplishments of local residents – as well as the people who work here – and providing coverage of local events continues.

Most recently, we’ve begun to accept advertising and expect those sponsors to also be members of our community who are interested in bringing their business or service to the attention of our readers. Because we’re promised those advertisers as much traffic as possible to the InMenlo website, we’re making changes in the daily newsletter that many of you have relied on to read the articles on InMenlo.

Starting tomorrow, the daily email newsletter will provide an excerpt of each article. Readers who want to see the whole article will need to click through to the full article on the InMenlo website. This has been how our readers who follow InMenlo on Facebook currently see each article – the photo and an excerpt with a link to the full article on our website.

We appreciate your loyalty and kind comments about InMenlo and trust that those of you who read InMenlo via our daily email newsletter will continue to do so!
