Menlo Park artist Michael Killen’s painting displayed at Silicon Valley Energy Summit on June 29

Menlo Park-based artist Michael Killen‘s painting Sustainability (24 x 5 foot) will be on display during the 2012 Silicon Valley Energy Summit on June 29. Expalins James L. Sweeney, Director, Precourt Energy Efficiency Center at Stanford: “The event features VIPs from Governor Brown’s Office, the U.S. Navy, the Senate, the Executive Branch and industry. The Honorable William G. Perry, Chairman, Secretary of Energy Advisory Board, and Senator Jeff Bingaman, Chairman, Energy Committee, United States Senate will share their insights with leaders from the business, environmental, and education community. We are displaying Michael’s painting to help enrich the experience of the attendees.”

Michael was inspired to paint Sustainability by NASA’s work to “land on the earth” by building a sustainability base at NASA Ames in Mountain View. The public can view the painting in the  Arrillaga Alumni Center lobby, 326 Galvez Street, Stanford, between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm.
