EcoCenter room to be dedicated in memory of Oak Knoll teacher on Sept. 9

The new EcoCenter opened at Palo Alto Baylands in July will have a room dedicated in the memory of Oak Knoll teacher Michelle Mazzei.  The dedication ceremony will take place from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, Sept. 9. Michele died in 2005 after being hit by a motorist while cycling on Woodside Road near Interstate 280. She was an active member of Environmental Volunteers, which renovated the Birge Clark-designed “paddlewheel boat” building to serve as its headquarters.
