Learn about state ballot propositions on Oct. 6

by Roberta Roth on October 4, 2012

Menlo Park Library presents Be Better Prepared to Vote: The State Ballot Propositions – Pros & Cons on Saturday, October 6, at 11:00 am in the Menlo Park Council Chambers, 701 Laurel Street. The event is free and open to the public.

In the upcoming election on Tuesday, November 6th, voters registered in California will decide the outcome of more than ten propositions placed on the ballot by the California State legislature or through the public initiative process. As we all know, ballot measures are not always easily understandable, and sifting through the language of these measures can often be challenging. The South San Mateo County League of Women Voters will give a non partisan presentation that is designed to give voters the information they need to make up their own minds.

The event is supported by the Friends of the Menlo Park Library. Free wheelchair accessible van service is available for Menlo Park area seniors and people with disabilities. Call 330-2512 for van reservations.
