Informational meetings on Willow Rd/Hwy 101 interchange set for Oct. 9 and 17
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in partnership with the San Mateo County Transportation Authority and the cities of East Palo Alto and Menlo Park, is proposing to reconstruct the Interchange of US 101 and Willow Road. The project will address deficiencies impacting motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians by eliminating traffic weaves and providing adequate space for vehicles to stack on freeway off-ramps.
Caltrans is beginning the environmental phase of the project and is holding a Public Scoping Meeting at the Menlo Park Senior Center, 100 Terminal Avenue, on October 17th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Caltrans staff will also be presenting information on the project at the next Menlo Park City Council meeting on October 9 at 7:00 pm in the City Council Chambers at 701 Laurel Street.
Residents are encouraged to attend either Public Scoping meeting and to provide their input to the project.
