by Contributed Content on April 18, 2013

The Las Lomitas Education Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual Las Lomitas Fun Run on Saturday April 27th at Las Lomitas School (299 Camino Al Lago, Atherton). The Fun Run consists of three events: a MunchKin Run (two laps around Las Lomitas Field), a 1 Mile Run (an out and back on Camino Al Lago) and a 5K Run (starting on Camino Al Lago and running around the Circus Club and back).

The MunchKin Run starts at 8:45am, followed by the 1 Miler at 9:00am and the 5K Run at 9:30am. Neighbors in the area should be aware that Camino Al Lago will be closed to car traffic prior to the race. Race volunteers and Atherton police will be on hand to direct traffic and race participants.

Over 330 walkers and runners of all ages came out for the Fun Run last year. The Fun Run organizing team is tracking registrations and anticipates a larger turnout this year.

People may register at http://llef.org and click the link to the Active.com registration page. Entry fees are $35 for adults and $20 for children. People can also email Matt Ohline at ohline@earthlink.net for a printable mail-in registration form. Race day registration opens starting at 7:30am.

The Fun Run is sponsored by several local businesses including O’Melveny & Meyers, David Henig, Architect, Inductus Associates, Petersen Building Co, Keri Nicholas Realtor, Spectrum Equity, The Dailey Method, David Kelsey Realtor, Cecily O’Regan Attorney, Anna Dobrenski Photographer, Fleet Street Sports and Casey McGlynn Attorney.

All Fun Run proceeds benefit the Las Lomitas Education Foundation.
