Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with these colorful, beer bottle vases

by Alexis Murphy on May 5, 2013

First the easy (“fácil”) way: Fill Coronita Bottles with colored water. Add beautiful poppies from my neighbor’s front yard. (Can you believe that orange naranja color?)

Now the hard (“difícil”) way — not really hard, just takes a little time and patience — painted cerveza bottles. Drip paint inside, then turn and roll bottle around until all sides are covered. Place bottles upside down for excess to run out.

It took a few coats, with a few hours drying time between, but it was worth it, the colors really pop. You get to have a few cervezas along the way — ole!
