Camp Menlo Mom gears up for second summer

Jessica Rancourt emailed InMenlo: “Camp Menlo Mom is gearing up for our second summer of field trips, science and art projects, sports, new parks, and silly fun. We’re a family-powered, do-it-together activity group for kids 3-8 and their caregivers (siblings welcome) in and around Menlo Park.

“We have a themed activity every morning, Monday through Friday, for 8 weeks this summer. Weekly themes include transportation, with a bike parade and field trip to NASA; fun with food, including a tour of the Jelly Belly Factory (in Fairfield) and making solar cooked s’mores; community, with a volunteer project, visit to a fire station, and birthday party for the USA; and nature and animals, with a nature scavenger hunt and make your own fossils.

Participation in the group is free. (Some field trips have small admission fees.) We run on family involvement, so we ask each family to lead one activity or field trip and then join us for activities whenever it fits their schedules.

You can see the group and schedule at For families not on Facebook, I can be emailed directly for the schedule —”
