Music To A Tee, scheduled for June 16, raises money for minority golf programs

A new event, Music To A Tee, to raise funds for the East Palo Alto P.A.L. Jr. Golf Program will be held on Sunday, June 16 at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center. The musical show will have two performances – at 2:00 pm and 6:30 pm – and feature Charlie Barreda (Latin Jazz), Dash Kizer (Gulf Coast Country Blues), John Henry’s Farm (Country Blues) and Buffalo Chips (Rock and Reggae). In addition to the entertainment, there will be raffle prizes and refreshments.
Founded in 1991 by Bob S. Hoover, the East Palo Alto P.A.L. Jr. Golf Program provides minority youth in East Palo Alto, Palo Alto, Redwood City and the Belle Haven neighborhood of Menlo Park an introduction to the game of golf. Group retreats, tutoring, group discussions and community services are key parts of the program.
