Menlo Park residents can collect free compost on Nov. 2

by Contributed Content on October 31, 2013

Menlo Park residents are invited to pick up free compost at Bedwell Bayfront Park on Saturday, Nov. 2, starting at 7:00 am while supply lasts. Compost is available for Menlo Park residents only, and not for commercial use.

Residents should bring proof of residency, shovels, containers, and be prepared to help themselves to the large pile of compost just inside the entrance to Bedwell Bayfront Park, located near the intersection of Bayfront Expressway and Marsh Road.

Residents may collect up to 1 cubic yard of compost (about six full garbage cans). Filling truck beds is prohibited. The material comes from residential recycling of organic material through the curbside collection program. Event may be cancelled due to rainy weather.
