Santa Claus makes multiple appearances in Menlo Park over the weekend

No more true is the adage “a photo is worth a thousand words” than when showing the delightful look on kids’ faces when encountering Santa Claus. They had a number of opportunities to do so this past weekend in Menlo Park.
The Stanford Oaks Neighborhood Association had its annual get-together, anchored at the Salvatierra house. About 50 neighbors showed up bearing unwrapped toys for the Menlo Park Fire Departments “Toys for Tots” and/or nonperishable food for local food banks. (Top two photos by Irene Searles).
On Sunday night, it was time for the Santa train to make its stop at the Menlo Park train station. The hundreds of bundled up locals were treated to entertainment, and of course, a visit from St. Nick. (Last three photos by Laura Hamilton).
