Winds cooperate for Menlo Park’s annual kite day
Every first weekend of May for the past few years, the City of Menlo Park has held a kite day event at Bedwell Bayfront Park. This year, blustery winds lifted the kites and spirits of those who attended, estimated at 400 people according to event coordinators. Beginning at noon on Saturday, families and couples, alike, gathered on the grassy hills past Marsh Road to fly their kites. They enjoyed music, facepainting, hot dogs and picnic food made available by the City.
