Holiday tree glimmers amidst the rain drops last night in Menlo Park

by Linda Hubbard on December 6, 2014

With a flip of the switch, Menlo Park Mayor Catherine Carlton set Fremont Park aglow amidst the raindrops last night with the lighting of the holiday tree. Don’t try to count the lights yourself — it’s purported to have 50,400!

We talked to Hillview student, Sasha, who’d found a perfect perch one of the big branches left behind when the Italian stone pine was cut down earlier this Fall.

The tree lighting ceremony, which was revived for the first time last year, is sponsored by the City of Menlo Park and the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce.
