The Menlo-Atherton High School Athletic Boosters is holding its 10th annual Big Bear 5K run on May 3 at 9:00 am. The fundraising event usually attracts about 1,000 runners. The course starts at M-A and loops around the Lindenwood neighborhood in Atherton and back to the high school.

Registration is available online. Through April 26th, the cost is $15 for students and $25 for adults, which increases to $18 for students and $28 for adults through April 30th. Race-day registration is available — $20 for students and $30 for adults, ending at 8:45 am.

Participants receive a T-shirt and water bottle; refreshments follow the race. There is a post-race raffle prize drawing for current M-A students who finish the race in under 45 minutes (must be present to win).

Proceeds from the race go to provide critically needed funds to support M-A’s 50 plus sports teams.
