Menlo Park resident killed crossing the street at intersection of El Camino Real and Alejandra

Shortly after  8:00 pm Thursday night (6/18), a vehicle struck a pedestrian at the
intersection of El Camino Real and Alejandra Avenue in the City of Menlo Park.

Emergency Medical Technicians rendered first aid to the victim, before
transporting her to Stanford Hospital where she ultimately succumbed to her injures. The pedestrian has been identified as an 86-year-old Menlo Park resident.

The driver of the vehicle was interviewed at the scene and released. Preliminary investigation by the Menlo Park police indicated the pedestrian had been walking in or about the crosswalk when struck by the vehicle.

This case is under active investigation by the Menlo Park Police Department. Anyone
