Another successful Tour de Menlo wraps up with lunch at Menlo-Atherton High School

Staying at pace with last year’s record number of riders, 524 cyclists took part in the 10th annual Tour de Menlo bike ride today. Whether they chose 35-. 45- or 65-miles, riders started and ended at Menlo-Atherton High School where they enjoyed a BBQ lunch provided by Lutticken’s.
Local riders included Kathy Gilles (top) who did the 45-mile ride and Dennis Nugent (far right) who was joined by his good friend from college days, Modesto resident Darrell Champion. They completed the 65-mile course.
The Tour de Menlo is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Menlo Park Foundation and the Almanac. Proceeds support Rotary scholarships, other Foundation projects, and the Almanac’s Holiday Fund drive.
