Another automobile lands in the channel along Marsh Road resulting in partial road closure on Aug. 26

Monday night (Aug. 24) at approximately 11:30 p.m., a vehicle went into the Marsh Road channel near Middlefield taking out about 200 feet of fence. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Stanford Hospital ER for medical treatment. There was a passenger in the vehicle that escaped without injuries.
Captain Seth Johnson and other firefighters from the Menlo Park Fire District helped to extricate the driver and secure the vehicle. Fire Chief Harold Schapelhouman said: “The Marsh Channel continues to be the site of numerous vehicle accidents.”
As a result of the latest incident, the eastbound lane of Marsh Road will be closed from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 26, 2015.
