Road rage leads to armed robbery on Oak Grove Avenue in Atherton

At 8:37 pm Saturday night (12/26), an armed robbery occurred at 230 Oak Grove Avenue in Atherton following a road rage incident.

The victim was traveling northbound on Middlefield Rd. from Palo Alto, when they were involved in a road rage incident with the suspect vehicle. The suspect followed the victim and began honking his horn loudly several times.

The victim stopped his vehicle at Ravenswood and Middlefield for a red light with the suspect vehicle stopping behind him. The suspect got out of his vehicle and attempted to approach the victim’s vehicle while yelling curse words.

The victim continued driving north on Middlefield Rd and turned east onto Oak Grove Ave. The suspect got back into his vehicle and continued following the victim.

The victim pulled into the driveway (pictured) at 230 Oak Grove Ave. with the suspect vehicle close behind. The suspect exited the vehicle and approached the victim’s vehicle on foot. One of the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim and his passengers and demanded their money, keys to their vehicle, and their cell phones.

The suspects got back into their vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction. The suspects, described as two Hispanic males, are still outstanding.

The suspect vehicle is described as a metallic blue older model Subaru.
