Streetlights on the blink in area of west Atherton

Over the past few weeks, there have been series of streetlight outages in west Atherton (Patricia/Austin/Serrano/Robleda area).

Last week, it was discovered that there is a burn in the system wiring, and up to 50% of the lights are out in the neighborhood. PG&E streetlight troubleshooters have been working hard with Atherton town workers from Cal West to see if together they could locate the burn.

By Friday, they had it pinpointed to about a 200-yard location around 42 Patricia. As of 3:00pm today (January 11, 2016), crews were still attempting to locate the problem.

The repair is expected to be done by Friday, January 15, 2016.
