Alley-Oop Kids concludes a successful second project

We’ve been following young Menlo Park resident Shay Patel’s philanthropic activities for a couple of years now and reported on his effort to send foster kids who are being mentored through CASA of San Mateo to a sporting event in 2015. Shay emailed us the results of his most recent Alley-Oops Kids project:

“Thanks to all of you, the second Alley-Oop Kids’ project was a success with over 100 sporting events tickets donated to foster kids and their mentors at CASA of San Mateo. We were even able to send some kids to the Warriors!

“A very special thanks to all the kids who helped raise money and tickets. We had kids as young as five helping! That is great.

“I am starting to figure out our next project very soon.”
