Spotted: Dawn sights at Bedwell Bayfront Park

by Linda Hubbard Gulker on September 21, 2016

skunk-at-bedwellWith the sun not rising until just minutes before 7:00 am, a lot of the regular early morning folk who walk, jog or cycle at Bedwell Bayfront Park are finding themselves starting out in semi-darkness this morning.

But it was light enough on the east/bay side of the Park to spot a “Florida swamp” water vehicle skimming the water and to encounter a skunk so unperturbed by close human encounter that he/she kept on eating as we passed about five feet away.

Coming up the hill was a huge flock of geese, common this time of the year as Bedwell Bayfront is a popular stopping spot on the flyway.
