October 27th parent education program at M-A focuses on college readiness

Is your student ready for college? Could he or she benefit from a “bridge” or gap year? How do we define college readiness in the 21st century?

The next M-A Parent Education program tackles “Defining the New College Readiness,” featuring Abby Falik, founder of Global Citizen Year; Lloyd Thacker, founder of The Education Conservancy and co-author of Turning the Tide: Inspiring Concern for Others and the Common Good through College Admissions (report from Harvard GSE; and Julie Lythcott-Haims, prior Dean of Freshmen at Stanford University and New York Times bestselling author of How to Raise and Adult.

The program takes place on Thursday, October 27, 2016, from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at the M-A Performing Arts Center. Parents, students, faculty/staff, and community members are welcome. Spanish interpretation will be available. Free admission; register here.
