Peninsula College Fund honors Lisa Sobrato Sonsini at annual luncheon on Oct. 25

The Peninsula College Fund’s (PCF) annual fundraising luncheon, “Building Futures – A Luncheon to Support The Peninsula College Fund,” will take place on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Sharon Heights Country Club in Menlo Park.
The keynote speaker and honoree is Lisa Sobrato Sonsini, Board President and Trustee of The Sobrato Family Foundation.
“Lisa and her family have been long time supporters of PCF and our mission of helping first-generation students succeed in college, and now we get to thank her for her tireless efforts on our behalf,” said Christina Mireles, Executive Director of The Peninsula College Fund. “With her assistance, we’ve been able to support 7 first-generation students as they work toward building a future for themselves.”
The Peninsula College Fund empowers low-income, first-generation college students to graduate and obtain a job that aligns with their career goals. PCF offers scholarships, college and career success training, one-on-one mentoring, and career internships to support their growth and development. PCF currently serves 148 scholars from the Bay Area, and more than 95% of all PCF scholars have either graduated or are on track to graduate from a four-year college.
