Tree lighting followed by breakfast with Santa kick off holidays in Menlo Park

by Contributed Content on November 25, 2018

The annual holiday tree lighting at Fremont Park will take place on Friday, Nov. 3o from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Watch live entertainment and sing along to winter classics with the Christmas Carolers. Enjoy a visit from Santa and his winter creatures. Conclude the evening with a story reading from Santa and count down with Mayor as he lights the holiday tree.

Then next morning (Dec. 1) have breakfast with Santa from 7:30-11:30 am at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center.

Fill your tummy with pancakes until you can’t eat another bite. Then be as busy and creative as the elves in their workshop with  holiday crafts. Make your wish list and check it twice as there will also be a station to write and submit letters to Santa. Postage to the North Pole can cost a pretty penny, but we’ve got an in with seven reindeer to help us get your letters there! Before the morning is over, gather your friends and family, grab some holiday props, and strike a pose with Santa in the photo booth.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children. Reservations are required and can be made online, in person at Arrillaga Family Gymnasium, or by calling 650-330-2220. Bring an unwrapped toy for the Firefighters Toy Drive and receive a dollar off your ticket price.
