Spotted: New historical plaque at British Bankers Club
The Menlo Park Historical Association installed a new plaque at the British Bankers Club, corner of Santa Cruz and El Camino.
Thanks MPHA member Lydia Cooper for sending us a photo!
It reads: Built in 1925 and designed by local architect Birge Clark and initially occupied by a bank. In 1939, the Menlo Park City Hall, Library and Police Department occupied the building. After WWII, it became an office building. It was extensively removed in 1977 as a restaurant.
