Blackout poetry is activity at Menlo Park Library on April 7

April is National Poetry Month. Blackout poetry is a fun creative exercise for ages 7-97+.
On Sunday, April 7, from 3:00 to 4:30 pm, come to the Menlo Park Library (800 Alma St.) to create a piece of art where you are not writing down words on an empty page, but eliminating words from a full one! You begin with a full page of printed text and a marker. The poetry is in the words you leave behind.
Art facilitator Christie Inocencio will provide art supplies, and pages of text ready for your inspired redactions.
This free event received funding support from the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.
