Atherton Earth Day takes place on April 21

Emails Ron Snow: “The Atherton Earth Day Festival that will be held this coming Sunday, April 21 at Holbrook Palmer Park (150 Watkins Ave). It runs from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and looks like a very fun family event. I understand that there will be lots of exhibits and even a number of sheep! Cycling to the event is encouraged; there will be lots of bike parking and valet service.

“I am helping out both the Atherton ADAPT and Menlo Park MPCReady organizations to get the word out on household planning for disaster preparedness. The goal is to greatly increase awareness and have many more families organized and prepared for major emergencies. A number of Earth Day-oriented vendors, police department, and fire district will have exhibits and information booths. Additionally there will be live music, art, and food.”
