Youth for Climate Policy panel will take place on April 30

Join the online Youth for Climate Policy panel discussion and forum on Tuesday, April 30 from 5:00-6:00 pm to learn how you can steer local government toward sustainability.

Network with peers and discuss advocacy tips with county leaders, former mayors and student advocates. Reserve your spot.

Speakers:

  • Former Mayors: Kirsten Keith (Menlo Park); Georgi LaBerge (Redwood City); Terry Nagel (Burlingame); Mark Olbert (San Carlos)
  • High School student leader and SSMC Youth Sustainability Award winner Kayla Ling

This is a unique opportunity to hear from a great group of former city leaders and learn how to cause meaningful change through local government advocacy.

This event is presented by Sustainable San Mateo County, supported by Peninsula Clean Energy and cosponsored by seven local organizations including 350 Silicon Valley, Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action, San Mateo County Office of Education, San Mateo County Sustainability Department, Citizens Environmental Council, Acterra and Citizens’ Climate Lobby.
