The author grew up in Atherton’s Lindenwood neighborhood and attended Menlo-Atherton High School before going on to obtain a masters degree from UCLA in Cinema and Media Studies. Marit has worked in development at production companies on the Warner Brothers, Disney and Universal lots. This Golden State is her fourth novel published.
