Reception for featured artist Bill Lazar at Main Gallery on May 10

A reception at the Main Gallery (883 Santa Cruz Avenue)  for featured artist Bill Lazar will be on Friday, May 10, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. There will be live music by Dan Bloomberg. His photographs are on display through June 2.

Bill’s images allow us all to share in the awe, joy, and gratitude he experiences while seeing the magnificent and subtle beauty of our surroundings through his lens. He is driven by the joy of capturing strange and beautiful sights in exotic locations; in finding the beauty in the mundane, and in the surprising and fun abstracts created using in-camera techniques.

A California native and 50-year South Bay resident, Bill is a scientist by training with an enduring passion for art. After working with pottery, tatting, wood block carving, and printing, Bill has found digital photography to be the perfect tool for capturing the emotions inspired by his subject.
