Community meeting on the Safety Element of Atherton set for May 13

The Safety Element of Atherton plays a crucial role in ensuring our preparedness and resilience against various natural and man-made disasters. This workshop aims to discuss and gather insights on the potential hazards and vulnerabilities that may affect our community. It’s also an opportunity to provide input on how community members have prepared for, responded to, and recovered from past disasters.
The workshop, which will take place on Monday, May 13, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in Council Chambers (80 Fair Oaks Lane) will include a brief overview of the Safety Element, required components of the update, and a summary of identified hazards. Feedback from this workshop will then assist in preparing a vulnerability assessment for the Town that will help formulate draft goals, policies and programs to respond to potential threats.
