NMHM was established during the American Civil War as the Army Medical Museum, a center for research related to battlefield trauma and pathology. The museum’s mission to preserve and explore the impact of military medicine spans more than 150 years.

This special event is being held in conjunction with the National Library of Health exhibition Take Two and Call Me in the Morning: The Story of Aspirin Revisited, on display at Menlo Park Library from May 28 until July 6, 2024.
