Hardboiled Truth: A Celebration of Local Crime Authors is program on June 14

Feldman’s Books (1075 Curtis Street), in association with California Writers Club, presents Hardboiled Truth: A Celebration of Local Crime Authors on Friday, June 14, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Reserve your place online.
The book store will host three eccentric aficionados of mystery, horror, thriller, and crime fiction: enthusiasts of the dark fantasy genre.
Dr. Alfred Jan is an art critic, pulp scholar, and expert on the bibliographies of weird menace genres. He will offer an overview of the dark fantasy genre, as well as a celebration of several forgotten masters of the form–including Gelett Burgess and Cornell Woolrich.
Mystery writer Steve Latner lives in San Mateo. Many of the settings for his books are based on the landmarks, bars, and restaurants on the Peninsula south of San Francisco. His novels include This Taxi For Hire, I Love You To Death, and Nice Guy Bob.
Finally, author David T. Wolf has spent years joyfully spinning out tales in a variety of genres. Now available, his small but tasty collection of crime novels, plus other assorted novels and short stories.
