Connected & Prepared Neighborhoods is topic at MPC Ready meeting on June 22

Connected & Prepared Neighborhoods is the topic at the next MPC Ready community meeting on Saturday, June 22, from 9:00 to 10: 15 am.

The speaker is Brandon Bond, Disaster Preparedness Coordinator, City of Menlo Park, who will also bring his FEMA Search & Rescue dog with him.

The meeting, which is free and open to all, will include an update of MPC’s pilot plan for a Neighborhood Gathering Place for post disaster situation. MPC Ready applied for, and received, a $4K Community Funding grant from the City of Menlo Park for this purpose. The goal is to make it easier for Block Coordinators to help pull together the members of the block to check in on neighbors, to solve block problems where possible, and to report critical situations to the City of Menlo Park.

Refreshments and a free raffle are included, The meetings takes place at Angus Hall. Trinity Church campus, 330 Ravenswood Avenue, Menlo Park.
