Spotted: Atherton Police Special Olympics torch bearers

The Atherton Department of Police participated in the annual Special Olympics Torch Run along El Camino Real yesterday for the 27th consecutive year, passing the torch off to the Menlo Park Police Department.

The Special Olympics Torch Run is a powerful movement that unites law enforcement officers from across the globe in a shared mission to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics.  By carrying the Flame of Hope, officers symbolize their commitment to inclusion, respect, and the transformative power of sports.
