Carpentry and sewing camps for kids this summer in Menlo Park

- Kids’ carpentry. During this week-long course, children aged five-12 will learn how to make a fun, age-appropriate carpentry project. Each new carpenter will get to see a demonstration before going hands-on and creating a project of their very own. The course runs from Aug. 5–Aug. 9 from 1–4 p.m. at Arrillaga Family Recreation Center, 700 Alma St and costs $420 for residents and $546 for nonresidents. Learn more.
- Sewing camp. Children will love this week-long camp. They’ll work on fun sewing projects using age-appropriate needles while learning how to use a hoop and how to sew on different materials like paper plates, cotton and more. This course runs from From Aug. 5–Aug. 9 at Arrillaga Family Recreation Center, 700 Alma St. and costs $300 for residents and $405 for nonresidents.
