Two residential burglaries within 24 hours in Atherton

On Saturday, August 31, at approximately 9:55 am, Atherton Police responded to the unit block of Marymont Avenue on a report of suspicious circumstances. While investigating, officers discovered a burglary had recently occurred at a residence.

This follows another incident yesterday evening (August 30) when APD officers responded to a residential alarm in the 100 block of Stockbridge Avenue. While checking the residence, officers located a broken glass door and discovered the master bedroom was rummaged through.

Both incidents remain under investigation and no other information is available at this time.
