Artist Linda Maki is part of the 50|50 Art Show at Sanchez Art Center

Menlo Park-based artist Linda Maki has been selected to be part of the 50|50 Show at the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica.
She emails: “I’ve been consumed by painting one 6×6 inch oil painting a day for 50 days straight this summer, now just finished. It’s been like Artist Boot Camp: thrilling, at times overwhelming and exhausting, and definitely a way to sharpen my artistic skills. My paintings hang with 49 other artists: total 2500+ works!. The show opens Sept 6. [which is sold out; tickets are available on Sept. 7].”

The title of Linda’s show is “In My Wheelhouse: Automotive Eye Candy” focusing on her self-described “obsession with old trucks, cars, gas stations and related subjects. I’ve honed in on little details for some of the paintings as I ask myself — what is it that draws me to this aging gem?
“I plan to be there for all the ticketed time slots to say “hi” and answer questions. After the Opening Event days, admission to the gallery will be free.”
