Dolores screens at Menlo Park Library on September 24

On Tuesday, September 24, from 5:45 to 7:30 pm, come to the Menlo Park Library (800 Alma St.) to watch the award-winning documentary about renowned labor leader and civil rights activist Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers union.
Featuring interviews with Gloria Steinem, Luis Valdez, Angela Davis, Huerta’s children and more, Peter Bratt’s film chronicles Huerta’s life from her childhood in Stockton, to her work with the headline-making grape boycott launched in 1965, to her role in the feminist movement of the ’70s and her continuing activist work.
Dolores is a heartfelt Emmy-nominated, Peabody-winning documentary that also took top honors at the San Francisco and Seattle International Film Festivals, among many others.
