Vishwa Shanthi Dance Academy stages Silver Jubilee production on October 26

Vishwa Shanthi Dance Academy, a leading dance school for Bharatanatyam —  a classical Indian dance form that combines rhythm, music, expression and dance — celebrates 25 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, with Infinite Facets: An Exploration of the Self directed and choreographed by Guru Smt. Shreelata Suresh. It will be performed on Saturday, October 26 at the Menlo Atherton Performing Arts Center with shows at 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm.

Infinite Facets explores philosophical concepts of supreme force, creative feminine energy, the trinity, the five elements of nature and so on, expanding the one Self into the multiplicity of the Universe. This dance ballet weaves together pure rhythmic dance, traditional music, story telling, extravagant costumes and evocative expressions, complemented by clear English explanations.
