Wetlands and Watts takes place on November 17

On Sunday, Nov. 17, from 10:00 am to 12 pm, come to Cooley Landing in East Palo (2100 Bay Road) for a family-friendly event, where kids and parents will learn alongside each other how we can create safer homes for our families, cleaner air for our communities, and a brighter future for our planet at age-appropriate activity stations. This event is appropriate for elementary and middle school aged students and their families.
Attendees will also tour the unique and beautiful wetlands on a walk led by Grassroots Ecology. Bring binoculars to watch the birds; we will also have some extra binoculars on hand to lend.
Register for this free event online.
Local organizations will provide resources and information about healthy and sustainable living. Food will be provided, and there will be a drawing for prizes.
If you are able to, we encourage you to walk, bike, ride public transit or carpool to the event. Parking is limited on site.
Sponsored by the cities of East Palo Alto and Menlo Park, Peninsula Clean Energy, 350 Silicon Valley, Grassroots Ecology, Climate Resilient Communities, Nuestra Casa, SF Bay Physicians for Social Responsibility, San Mateo County Health Environmental Health Services, Acterra, Menlo Spark, and Sustainable San Mateo County.
