Christmas tree pick up for Recology customers is underway

Once you’ve removed all the tinsel, lights, decorations, and stands from your holiday tree, you can leave the tree next to your green Compost Cart and Recology will pick it up for you now through January 31 on your regular collection day.

For trees greater than 8 feet, please cut the tree into lengths of 8 feet or less before placing next to or inside your green Compost Cart.

After January 31, trees must be cut up and placed inside the green Compost Cart for collection.

Apartment/Condominium Managers
Please contact Recology San Mateo County to arrange for collection of holiday trees. Trees can be collected in piles or in a drop box for no additional charge. For more information, please call Recology at (650) 595-3900.
