Discover the Flyway Trail on January 18

by Contributed Content on January 15, 2025

Join the San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society and US Fish & Wildlife Service for free nature walks along the new Flyway Trail. Discover wildlife from a 360 degree view at the Ravenswood Unit of the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

The next walk is on Jan. 18 and details can be found on Eventbrite.

The group will meet in the Bedwell Bayfront Park parking lot, adjacent to the restrooms and walk through Bedwell Bayfront Park to the Flyway Trail, located on refuge lands. Along the walk we will learn about the different habitats and restoration efforts, while doing plenty of bird watching. The trail is flat, compacted dirt with some benches along the route. Walking will be at a slow pace for less than two miles.

Location: Flyway Trail, adjacent to Bedwell Bayfront Park and right off of Highway 84. Parking at Bedwell Bayfront Park is located at 1600 Marsh Rd., Menlo Park.
