Middle Grade Book Group discusses Amari and the Night Brothers on February 15

Middle Grade Book Group is an in-person group for kids between the ages of 6 and 12 who are interested in reading chapter books. Every month the facilitator will choose a chapter book whose publisher-assigned age rating is between 8 and 12.

Come to the Menlo Park Library (800 Alma St.) on Saturday, February 15, at 4:30 pm to discuss this month’s book, Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston. Register online.

Amari Peters can’t seem to catch a break; the search for her mysteriously vanished brother has been called off and she just lost her much-needed private school scholarship. But Amari’s belief that her brother is still alive feels validated when he sends her an invitation to a training camp for the Bureau of Supernatural Affairs. Whisked away into a secret world of magic and fantasy, Amari must adapt and find friends — and maybe even find her brother.
